Phase 1 consisted of the deconstruction of load bearing masonry walls to facilitate a new, larger recovery room; adaptions and installation of new mechanical and electrical services along with medical gases; new partitions, plastering, suspended ceiling, decorations and new floor coverings.
The project was carried out at Bristol's St Michael's Maternity Hospital, within the heart of the central delivery suite.
