Koddis Construction have successfully handed back ward D703 to Bristol's Haematology and Oncology Centre.
The project was successfully carried out within a very sensitive ward. Key to the project was successfully controlling construction dust and debris from entering the main ward whilst carrying out the refurbishment on level 7.
D703 cares for a wide range of patients with blood-related cancers, such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and non-malignant haematological conditions such as sickle cell disease.
The project consisted of the deconstruction of existing partition walls, M&E alterations and installations along with medical gases, construction of new partition walls, suspended ceiling, decorations, floor coverings and fixtures and fittings, to provide additional bed space and isolation rooms.
